I founded Evans Software Solutions because I love to build things — and nowadays I keep seeing the same problem: businesses stuck on aging platforms that hold them back, with no clear path to modernize. I'm deeply immersed in agentic AI and harnessing its capabilities to transform legacy systems faster than ever before. These tools let me spend less time worrying about boilerplate and configuration and more time where it matters most: clean architecture, amazing UX, and simple and modernized platforms that users love and rely on every day.
That experience comes from 20+ years of building production systems across oil & gas, energy efficiency, eCommerce, marketing, and enterprise IT — from native mobile apps to large-scale web platforms serving hundreds of thousands of users. By day, I serve as Managing Director of Product Engineering at SHI International — a $15B global IT solutions provider — where I head up a team of 35+ leaders, architects, engineers, and technical product owners building SHI's customer-facing digital platform. Over 75% of SHI's revenue is processed through systems my team builds and operates.
Even while maintaining a full-time engineering career, I've always made time for the projects I'm passionate about - and I don't disappear after launch. My partnership with AmateurGolf.com has spanned 3+ years and counting — I continue to serve as their sole technology partner for ongoing development, maintenance, and growth. My work with MapMyGrad similarly ran 3+ years with a successful outcome for the client.
When I'm not chasing kids or shipping software, you'll find me on the golf course — I'm a scratch golfer and competitive amateur player. That same drive for precision and continuous improvement carries over into everything I build.
